The Information Center, Inc. (The Family Resource Place) Project Care Choices &
MI-Choice Medicaid Waiver Program
Designed to assist the frail elderly and disabled who want to remain at home, but may be having a difficult time obtaining the resources and services that would allow them to do so. The goal of Project Care Choices is to offer alternatives to nursing home care. The Family Resource Place empowers people with the ability to make informed choices by providing assistance, information, and access to public resources, community services and activities thereby facilitating independence, self reliance, and dignity.

Agency serves older persons 60 and older in Wayne County. The goal of the agency is to help qualified individuals remain as independent as possible. No fees charged for services, though cost sharing may be required in some services.

Weatherization/Energy Assistance
Downriver Community Conference's Weatherization Program is a free energy program provided by the Department of Energy (DOE), and the State of Michigan Department of Human Services, (DHS). DCC's Weatherization Program continues to offer the highest level of help to low-income individuals and families to meet their energy conservation needs. In particular, the program provides assistance through energy saving education, sidewall, and attic insulation installation, as well as other energy saving methods.
